Desperate for success and quickly loosing grip, a pair of metal musicians lure a young woman to a secluded mansion in hopes of inspiring their next album. However, tensions arise between the two band mates as one of them accidentally falls in love with their soon-to-be victim.
Set in 1941, a drama about Canada's World War II policies toward Japanese-heritage citizens as told through the saga of a middle-class family forced to leave their successful Vancouver boating business, and relocate in a small, economically depressed mining town in the British Columbia interior, immediately following the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
