Young solicitor Nicholas Turner, plagued by financial problems, falls from the roof of his house as his wife witnesses the event through the front windows. As Barnaby and Scott investigate the possibility of foul play, Turners neighbor and friend, Jack Wilmot mysteriously disappears.
